11th November 2010 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 40-50 knots Surf / Sea State: Choppy Air Temperature: 11ºC Sea Temperature: 12ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: 24 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 10.22 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) COmpletely mad out there today with a solid 40-50 knot wind blowing. The tide was high and the sea a complete mess so we headed to the estuary and headed out with our smallest kit. I was on my 4m and JP Wave, Toby's smallest was a 4.7m and Mistral Flow and Simon was out on a 4.2m and his wave board. All in all it was good fun, but pretty tough out there. Gusty conditions and crazy winds weren't really ideal, especially for Toby who's kit was too big and he was sailing a new place that he isn't used to - He'll soon get used to it though. Hoping for a little less tomorrow and a chance to sail on the seafront. |
